INSTRUCTORS
Julie Wright
One of my most joyous moments teach yoga are when a diverse crowd of students are practicing together.I have been working in the field of Health and Wellness since 1991, teaching many varieties of Group Exercise classes and Personal Training. I enjoy exercise and like working with people of all ages. I took my first yoga class in 1999 and was immediately hooked. I took the class for the physical aspect, but what really surprised me was the powerful body-mind connection. After two years of dedicated practice and during that time acquiring a 200 hour certification with Yoga Alliance I began teaching yoga. I continue my education and receive great inspiration by attending workshops with masters such as Baron Baptiste, Beryl Bender Birch, Rod Stryker, Ana Forrest, Seane Corn, Manju Jois and many more. Yoga has given me the ability to connect mind and body, using the breath to guide my movement in yoga practice as well as in daily living. I share the precious gift of yoga with others through teaching.
I enjoy teaching to beginners as well as the advanced practitioner. One of my most joyous moments teach yoga are when a diverse crowd of students are practicing together, all levels, all connecting mind and body through breath. It is the most incredible energy and I feel so blessed to be a part of it.
It is an honor to be an APY Instructor. The standards of certification to teach APY Yoga are high. Every APY Instructor has a wealth of knowledge from the philosophy of yoga to physiology and everything in between. The Instructors at APY genuinely care about every student. What I like most about APY is, well many things, but what stands out to me the most is that all classes are open level where the first timer to the most advanced practitioner will have a positive experience.

Kurt Johnsen comments about Julie
Simply put there are not enough Julie Wrights in the world. She is and has always been a shining star at APY. I often tell future teachers that they are not venturing into the world of fitness. I tell them that yoga teachers are in the energy business and Julie is a pro! Be it in a class or on the street she is the nicest person you will meet.
